The children’s library is aimed primarily at elementary and middle-school kids. In that regard, books could be fiction-based or knowledge-based, Urdu or English. Essentially, we want to start by exposing kids to things they might not encounter otherwise. The first children’s library project is underway in Islamabad by SAYA. Utilizing the sheer power of mobile text-messaging, SAYA board member Asma Tughral Yamin was able to enlist the support of dozens of close relatives and acquaintences to donate books generously.
